Writers block is real!

Hi all,
I’m really struggling with my common app essay right now. I really love/have extracurricular experience in biology, math, and entrepreneurship-ultimately to work as a biotech executive . I know it’s deeply important to tie it all together for HYPSM applications, yet I struggle to pick out unique enough anecdotes to tie all this together. My current draft reads rather dryly as it is just a summary of the aforementioned interests. I’ve heard it’s good practice to tend away from relative disease topics, but in my case I feel that a certain anecdote will adjoin everything effectively. Is this worth the risk? Is focusing on anecdotal examples of certain character traits an effective way to show my common interest in these activities?
Kind regards

Yes & yes.

Your instincts are probably correct that your essay needs this well-placed anecdote. Just remember the essay needs to show the college why you would be an asset to the college.
