Writing 39B or Humanities 1A

what is writing 39A?

i thought there was only 39B/39C?

ok kill two birds with one stone:

Sweetdream: writing 37 is a class for those who didn't pass the writing test, its an accelerated course so you don't get behind from those who passed the test (its a 7 unit class). But you have to be placed into the class by your placement test score and sat score

The Brian: 39A is the class that you take if you didn't pass the placement test and you didn't score high enough to get into writing 37, or if you don't wanna take 37. less units than 37 but it'll take longer to get the ge req.

oh, ok nevermind then.

thanks.

Err, I feel a bit fuzzy about the answer to the OP's question. If you took english at a community college before attending UCI then you get to skip out on writing reqs.

If I met the UC writing req. through my AP Comp/Lit scores then I could either take Humcore or 39B/C right?

Yeah dirtbags.

hey guys! thanks for the answers...but when i was registering for classes at spop1, the biological sciences advisor told me that it DOES transfer, so i dont have to sign up for writing...but i still dont know...im gonna set up an appointment with a counselor sometime this week or next week to double check. all these conflicting answers force me to do this lol....

Eonxblue:

I took an english course myself beforecoming to UCI. Although I did not petition to transfer it, a friend of mine did. Instead I used it to get out of the AWPE (big mistake!). Take the AWPE and use those to transfer. Trust me, it DOES transfer as long as you've taken it BEFORE coming to UCI.
