<p>I chose C but the correct answer is B. These two options are very similiar. I can't understand why.</p>

<p>I chose B. The correct answer is A. I think B seems fit.</p>

<li><p>“since then she has lived in N.L.” is an independent clause; you cannot separate it from the other independent clause with just a comma. you have to use a semicolon</p></li>

<p>B appointed; no other word fits the context. </p>

<p>As for the other sentence completion, “eased” is not the correct word. She thought that the “disputes between the parties” can be easily reconciled. “Mediated” means exactly that.
I hope you get what I am trying to say…</p>
