Writing Questions!

<p>Hey guys! Could someone please explain the right answers to the following:</p>

<p>To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the college, honoring those alumni who had graduated fifty years ago .</p>

<p>b. ceremonies for graduates of fifty years ago were held in honor of these alumni.
c. alumni graduating fifty years ago received honors
d. alumni who had graduated fifty years ago were honored
e. graduating alumni of fifty years ago were honored</p>

<p> There's no doubt that the safe-driving campaign scheduled to begin next week would have been postponed for another week because we lack the time to plan it well . </p>

<p> Being lost in the mountains of Colorado for two days as a boy, Dave is always careful to take a detailed map with him when he sets out for a backpacking adventure in the wilderness.</p>

<p>I’d say d) is the right answer for the first one. It’s the least awkward phrasing.</p>

<p>For the second, I’d say the second underlined phrase is wrong. The campaign beginning “next week” can’t be talked about in the past tense.</p>

<p>For the third, the first phrase is wrong. It should be “Having been.”</p>
