Hey y'all...

The Common App says that writing supplements aren't needed for the following colleges: Bowdoin, Emory, Middlebury, Swarthmore, Vanderbilt, and WUSTL. Collegeessayorganizer.com, however, lists supplemental essay prompts for every one of these schools except for Middlebury and WUSTL.

Is anyone else having these problems? If anyone knows anything, can you tell me what's going on? Thanks! :)

Bowdoin, Emory, Swarthmore, and Vanderbilt DO have supplement essays listed on the Common App…It’s just not listed in the “correct” place. Instead of having a separate “writing supplement” section, they simply added their essays to the “application” section under “Questions”

Here are the essay prompts for your reference (from Common App)

** Bowdoin **

[ul] []Intellectual engagement []The Common Good [li]Connection to place [/ul]
[/li]

** Emory **
- In addition to the Common Application’s Personal Statement, please choose ONE of the essays below. This supplemental essay should give us insight on your character as well as your potential fit with Emory University. Please consider your essay thoughtfully, as our Admission Committee and Faculty have special interest in this portion of your application.

[ul] []Emory University welcomes first-year students with two distinct options to begin their liberal arts education: the research-infused Emory College or the smaller, experiential learning Oxford College. If you could create an academic course that is in the Emory University spirit of collaboration, creativity, entrepreneurship and inquiry, what would it be? What impact would the course have on you and your classmates’ educational experience? []What is something you have taught yourself in the last year? How did you teach yourself this new skill or concept and what was the result? [/ul]

** Swarthmore **
- In 150 to 250 words, please write about why you are interested in applying to and attending Swarthmore. (250 word limit)

** Vanderbilt **
- Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences

Checked under “Questions” and found all of the supplements I was looking for! Thanks!
