<p>ok on my practice test i got like 750+ and on the real i got 600 with a raw score of 60 and essay 8 can someone telll me like how many i got wrong on the mcq's to get a raw score of 60</p>

What the hell is wrong with the writing scores.</p>
<p>This happened to me on the January test...this test I ended up getting an 800, though...anyway, writing is really random...sometimes you know all of the concepts, sometimes you miss a few...missing a few w and getting a 9 or 8 on the essay would give you a low score, that's just how it is</p>

<p>how much do essays matter? I got 11 essay, 68 mc (how did that happen? lol), and 720 total on writing section. >_< I thought the essay would've helped a little at least ...</p>
<p>It seems like the curve was super harsh ... If we had 1 more MC correct or went up 1 point on the essay, we probably would have received much higher marks!</p>

<p>A couple people in the report your scores threads are claiming 2400's this time around with perfect Writing MC and a 9 on the essay. I'm not sure I buy it, but the curve was certainly strange if those are true.</p>

<p>The writing is pretty weird. But I'm still amazed I got this score lol.
Last time I got 7 on the essay and overall 470 lol. And this time I got 12 on the essay and overall 670.</p>

<p>How do they calculate the raw score? Since there are 49 total writing questions, how does that number go to 80?</p>
<p>approximately 67-70 percent is the MC. 30 is about Essay. I wish essay was more because I always do better on it.</p>
<p>Oh well....Critical Reading screwed me over even more than writing</p>
