If you're written up by a RA (and have to go in for a conduct conference thing), what ends up happening? It was for making too much noise and smoking inside a dorm room? Does this go on some type of permanent record and could it affect my scholarship for the fall?

It only affects your “housing record”, so if you get written up too many times you may get kicked out of the dorms or you would not be able to apply for campus dorms/apartments for the next school year. You might have to do a short write-up as punishment, but I wouldn’t worry about it affecting anything else. Party on!

Smoking in a dorm room? You should’ve been expelled.

Making too much noise for being written up by an RA for posting on CC about being expelled in a dorm room? You should’ve been affecting your scholarship by going on some type of permanent record.

If you’ve only been written up once, you’re fine. It won’t go on a permanent record or affect your scholarship. As long as this is a one time thing and your incident wasn’t considered as a crime, there are no long term consequences.

What happens in the dorms stays in the dorms. Don’t sweat it.

On a similar note, I never completed AlcoholEDU, but my degree is supposed to be in the mail soon…
