I have 4 W's total on my transcripts, 2 W's in the Spring 2012 semester and 2 W's in the Fall 2012 semester.
I was going through a lot at home. I'm wondering, how much of an effect will the W's have on my transfer admission?
I have a 3.6 GPA and all A's and B's. I'm in the honors program and in clubs, so the W's are really the only thing that is concerning me.
What do you guys know about W's and how much of an effect it has on admission?

It will have no affect on your admissions. Be sure to read the countless other threads on this topic in the forum too.

They won’t have any major affect on your admissions. You’ll want to explain it though in the additional comments section.

It is a non issue for UC schools, but if you are applying to private schools, they tend to have different policies regarding W’s.

What ocnative said is correct. And don’t worry about posting a question covered elsewhere. We’re here to help! >:D<

THANK YOU! You are so kind. I appreciate that! <3 >:D<

A few W’s won’t matter. I can assure you of that.

W’s can matter for grad school admissions though.

But nobody has time to be thinking about that right now

@ocnative

Haha yeah I’m so effed if I decide I want to go to grad school…I have 6 or 7 I think…but yeah for some reason right now I couldn’t care less. I would probably have a 2.0 if I hadn’t gone the W route anyways so my prospects wouldn’t be any brighter
