WSU... hard?

Alright... so it's time for me to start looking at colleges. My friend's dad recommended Wash U, so I researched a bit. My biggest concern (other than the weather, so used to beautiful San Diego) is the rigor, compared to similar (or slightly lower-regarded) universities. I'm most likely going towards pre-med, with a major in biology or a similar science. I've always taken the hardest course load in high school, score 5 on all my AP tests, 35 ACT 2150 SAT, high enough GPA... but I honestly have gotten by mostly on my natural talent, not so much buckle-down work ethics. I practically never study. I'm a bit weary of the shock of being thrust into courses that send me into 'round-the-clock studying. Think WSU isn't the place for me?

What does the “S” stand for in WSU?

Usually it’s abbreviated WUSTL or WashU. Anyway, you’re probably going to have to work hard no matter where you go. But if you don’t want to have to work incredibly hard, especially for pre-med, then WashU isn’t the place for you.

If you want to get into medical school, there is no such thing as not working… unless you are a prodigy. You will have to work hard anywhere, so make it a place where you will enjoy for 4 yrs.

Swoods, I’m in your same scenario.
