I'm highly considering applying to WUSTL, but I've heard that Greek life/partying is huge there. I'm not a big party person; I don't care if other people do as long as there are other low-key people who'd rather have a small hang-out. But I don't particularly want to go to a college with a big Greek presence. I'm not interested in sororities; I likely wouldn't be able to afford it anyway. Comments? Am I just totally off on the WUSTL impression, or should I apply elsewhere?

I hadn’t heard this about WashU, and I suggest you check with the people over at the WashU forum. They might know better.

According to US News & World Reports summary for Washington University 25% of the students are in fraternities/sorties. So 75% aren’t. Contrast that with Dartmouth, a college known for its fraternity/sorority scene. There the percentage is 47%.
