Anyone visited there? Applied there? Attended there?
Ever since I took my first SAT, I've been getting tons of mail correspondence from them about scholarships and applying, etc. Basically, they really want me and I'm becoming somewhat interested. However, like with any school, you really don't get a good idea of what the school is like until you visit/attend there. I live way on the West Coast though and cannot make a campus visit. Any opinions on Xavier would be helpful.

eh, it's alright, the campus is alright; manicured.

i had a very neutral feeling about it, edging more towards better than worse, however from california it might be kind of a strange place to be.

i'd give it's campus atmosphere a 6/10. The surrounding area is not great, but not bad either, kind of reminded me of the area around villanova, if that conjures any familiarity, which i assume it probably doesn't ha.

Why would you want to go there over Ohio State or University of Cincinnati, which would be a LOT cheaper for Ohio Residents. In fact, they would be cheaper for non residents too and probably better academically?

Xavier and UC are comparably priced for OOS students and Xavier is 1/5 the size (4K undergrads vs. 20K). My wife went there years ago. Good school but not in the best part of town. Cincinnati has much to recommend it.
