I'm having a really hard time understanding where there are reliable answer explanations for the official blue study guide. If there are none in the book, where do we find them to employ the Xiggi method?

Either explore them yourselves or purchase one of those products:The Official SAT online course and the Testmasters' book.Otherwise, the online program of www.studyhall.com also has ,though limited, certain helpfulness.

My s is learning disabled and while strong verbally , he is weak in the nonverbal
areas and weak in math. He is not a good test taker. He has about 1 month to prep for his 2nd SAT. With this amount of time, what would be the best option
if one had to choose between gramminix, the real sats, studyhall.com or test-
masters?

Thanks,

Rich

Xiggi...you are the man. Or are you a woman?

Anyway, I've been taking practice PSATs, and I've doing worse with each subsequent test. What's the problem?

It is impossible to score higher on the SAT after working for a period of time. It must come naturally.

How to tackle the essay? and wat abt the MATHS??

just bought xitaamarg's book. hope it works out....so it's pretty much set, i'll take the SAT again even if i reach my target score.

i really don't think its worth the money. 50bucks for some short CR tips

johnnydr87- let us know how it is..

i 've the book

It does not worth 50 bucks.

Just wanted to say a word of thanks to Xiggi, and let others know that this method really worked for my son. The first round of SAT we went with a tutor but son's scores were diasappointing when compared with his GPA and class ranking (1350/2020). I printed off Xiggi's tips and gave them to my son who methodically went through the blue book (using Testmasters for an explanation when needed). He raised his score some 240 points with a perfect score on CR. (1510/2260)

who is Xiggi?

The book so far....

Well, I haven't gotten very far in it. I've been uber-busy with school....

It's VERY good. I've read the essay, passage-reading, and sentence completion strategies. I've also read the common misconceptions and myths about the SAT (at the end of the book). Mike Barrett (author) points out (with a variety of examples) that the SAT is, afterall, a standardized test. That said, the SAT repeats the same patterns and types of questions every test......so you can exploit these patterns to score well. The book seems to answer every question you ask, precisely at the moment you ask it. It evens answers questions you may have regarding the credibility of the book in the first place.

Plus, you can ask questions to Mike. I emailed him my predicament with not having my receipt code....and he quickly replied.

The most uncomfortable part of the book....was when he thoroughly explained how my Kaplan books preparation was not worth it.

The strategies are systematic and mechanical...and (so far) seem to very effective.

I recommend the book.

There is confusion about what scores get reported. Every SAT and SAT II that you take is reported to the colleges that you apply to. If you take an SAT I or II -- IT"S REPORTED. You cannot pick and choose. Even if you took five SAT II and a school only requires two, or none, the scores are reported. This changed in 2002. I believe that the current college freshman class is the last class that got to hold back scores.

i used the xiggi method...my june score was 1790 and my best overall was 1890 (1290 math verbal)...on the october one i got a 2070 (1400 math verbal)

so is xiggi ever gonna post the rest of his method up or has he finished or just given up

How do you practice Grammatix's strategies for the sentence completions part?

who exactly is this xiggi character?????

CB (The Official SAT Online Course), Kaplan, Live Online (Princenton Review), or other?

Where can I find reviews from the above online prep couses? Which one do you think works the best? Have you used any of the above or other that you can recomend?
