If it would be awkward on FB, wouldn’t it also be awkward on CC? I mean, we’re all chatting it up here too haha.

in past years, many people suddenly hate CC after decisions

@GoodACTor I’m not asking for hardly anything for Christmas… But that will all change if I get an acceptance! Buy ALL the Yale merchandise!

wackymole, I suppose, but I guess on CC, you have an alias, whereas on FB, it’s much more intimate because of real names and all that jazz, haha.

Philovitist, I’m not surprised with that haha.

I already own excessive Yale apparel (no fault of my own though). I’ll most likely build a huge fire to burn it all, along with all my collegeboard belongings…and that’s why I need healthy advice! (:
In all seriousness, I think I’ll spend the day/evening with friends so that I can’t check until the 15th, and I’ll make sure to have some icing nearby when I eventually get around to it. I wish I didn’t care.

@captainbrohab The Hobbit?

I will cry either way… so I will spend the 14th going and buying masses of Kleenex and chocolate…

@litotes Ding ding ding! I hope that was easy because who isn’t going to be seeing that?! But seriously it is going to be awesome, hopefully enough to get my mind off of the college process as a whole. Maybe if we all go see The Hobbit at the same time, a few of us will randomly bump in to each other! :P

captainbrohab, is The Hobbit good?

Anyone getting a playlist ready?

:o

I’m getting some kind of guilty pleasure out of seeing all the rejections for Dartmouth and Columbia.

Karma’s gonna suckerpunch me.

Seriously? I’m looking over them and it’s just depressing. They’re so qualified, agh.
I feel like such a downer on this thread aha I’m sorry.

The columbia kids seem slightly less downtrodden about it than the dartmouth ones.

@CantConcentrate It’s not out so I’m not sure yet, but it better be for the sake of Peter Jackson and the next two movies. It’ll also be like a million hours long so it should keep me distracted for a while The book was great so I don’t think the movie should be any different.

Also, should we make a thread to list songs, then someone can compile a Youtube or Spotify playlist?

I’m kind of surprised by how harsh the Dartmouth decisions were. I’m used to Yale’s system of mass-deferrals, so seeing so many straight-up rejections is disconcerting. But hey, nice prelude to the upcoming Bulldog Bloodbath!

I’m so including some Britney Spears on my victory-and/or-failure playlist. Toxic and Circus. Yessss.

I wonder how long I can go without thinking about this…

I’ve been super chill until now, but seeing Columbia and Dartmouth kids makes me stressed out. JFKDLsdjfl… I both really want my notification and reeeeeeally don’t want my notification.

I agree completely, I was doing a pretty good job of staying relatively relaxed, but after looking through Columbia and Dartmouth’s decision threads, I am a bundle of nerves.

And please do share these playlists! I have a feeling that I’m going to need them to cheer up after I hear my decision…

Every Single Passion Pit Song

(besides the ones that are annoying)

Lol my anthems for decision day:
Deferred/Rejected - The Scientist by Coldplay
Accepted - Live While We’re Young by One Direction (yeah, corny and mainstream LOL)
