Accepted: Ain’t no other man - Christina Aguilera
Deffered: Feeling good - Nina Simone (gotta stay positive)
Rejected: I will cry

I’ve tried really hard to stay off of all of the discussion threads but I can’t help it anymore. I’m freaking out. Does anyone know if we get an email or a notification prior to the notification date saying when, exactly, the decisions will be out?

Btw, best of luck to all of you.

Ha, I’m listening to the Scientist right now.

It’s not exactly uplifting. :P

Clocks by Coldplay would be another good addition. It’s not depressing. It’s pensive. I don’t think it’s good to listen to sad songs when you’re sad, though superpositive songs (like Ke$ha) are another extreme.

I’m looking for music to think to, with deep instrumentals. Any suggestions?

@Philovitist Toxic cover by Yael Naim. Top notch.

Also Johnny Cash’s version of “Hurt” will be on my deferred/denied playlist. Probably the most depressing song I’ve heard.

Aagh. You want to amplify the pain??!

the amount of qualified people who were outright rejected is frightening…i feel like they were harsher this year than last

i feel so bad…

Fantastic. Thanks for the heads up.

@Philovitist haha yeah for some reason amplifying the pain is my way of dealing with it…and you’re welcome, glad you liked it.

I’ll probably play some sad, sappy music for a bit to wallow, but then I’ll be back to just my favorite songs to make me feel better.

Lost by Coldplay is good, too.

Yes, anything Coldplay is brilliant.

Here comes my attempt to lighten the mood. What are y’all doing over winter break?
I’ll go first - performing at a music festival in Chicago and decorating gingerbread houses with my cousins!

You guys were right; looking at Columbia and Dartmouth’s decisions is extremely disheartening…

@shyams

i’m going skiing in quebec and probably to florida (:
i think i’ll make a gingerbread house too!

I find looking at the other threads kind of calming… decisions are being made and for those people life has gone on despite the results, it’s the waiting that’s really killing me!

I’m writing new lyrics and refining old ones, which should take most of my time. I’ll probs watch some movies (Amadeus) and catch up on Modern Family and Trueblood (:
I will go skiing also!

Damn those lucky few who get to flee to warmer climates, @canadian2012 has winter hit your part of canada yet?

Ahaha, it’s the End of the World as We Know It?

Yael Naim is fantastic in general.

@shyams, I’ll be going to see Les Mis in theaters at least 3 times! There may also be some gingerbread house constructing.
