If it’s a top prep school, it seems even plausible.

My counselor asked me yesterday when Yale results will come out. I told him it will be Friday. He said he would know it Thursday. He said he would not tell me the result though because it is Yale’s news plus he wants me to punch the computer instead of him if I do not get in. From what I get, it seems normal practice for Yale to call the counselor before the result is released. But it is hard to image Yale would call every counselor for 4,000 some students. On the other hand, my counselor is well known in the national circle of high school counselors, so I don’t know.

Just talked to my guidance counselor. Said a school has never done that before (calling to inform early), at least at our school. We have had graduates from Harvard, Stanford, etc.

Has the page that gets you to the Eli account login changed for you guys or is it just me?

In what way?

@canadian2013 A lot of the people who were accepted without interviews were not from rural areas. I remember some being from New York and Florida… I don’t there were limited alums in their areas because one of their dads was even a Yale alum.

@redboldx Both [Freshman Application Status Information | Yale College Admissions](http://admissions.yale.edu/application-status-information) and [Eli Accounts | Yale College Admissions](http://admissions.yale.edu/eli-accounts) are in a different format now. (I think .txt… but kinda like mobile version) I know it shouldn’t really matter, but it’s just odd…

They look the same to me? The only difference is the banner at the top telling us when decisions come out. But yeah, I’ve heard they make that portion of the site basic-html so that it doesn’t crash (though I have a feeling it will either way!).

Yeah sometimes the formatting goes bizarre and everything is plain text, but I only get that in Google Chrome. When I switch to Internet Explorer it works fine, maybe it has something to do with the latest version of Chrome and not Yale… you guys are reading into everything and worrying too much!

@CC20132017 Yeah! It’s still showing up as basic html for me, but that would make sense now with what @ivygirl4 is saying. Just shows that we’re getting closer!

aaaa it’s normal for me…
being optimistic and looking up the dates for bulldog day then realising the reality that I probably won’t be going :/

I don’t know about you guys but I’m tired of worrying, and after reading last year’s SCEA thread, I’ve seen that worrying does nothing to impact our decision, its out of our hands for now, it sounds cliche, but how bout trusting the process for once?

Yeah, I’m all for not worrying, but it seems like the more I try to forget about it, the more nervous I get… I’ll just have to keep myself really busy these next few days. By the way, is anyone looking forward to The Hobbit on Friday? I have exams that morning, so I’m going to try to see an early afternoon showing so I don’t languish and worry around in my house from 12 to 5. I just hope I’m not so worried that I spoil the movie for myself lol

Our pledge thread has 57 pledges. If everyone reports that would be amazing data, hopefully it happens! 2 days 23 hours 5 minutes guys!

57 is awesome, but I wonder why there were so many more (106) last year? …

Were there really? Wow. Maybe just less applicants from CC this year? Also, our thread is by far the largest of the ivies I think.

Stanford has 2500+, but I guess it isn’t an Ivy.

Nah I meant out pledge thread.

Did anyone else notice the Stanford discussion thread is almost 200 pages? In their defense, they’ve had the whole uncertain-notification-date debacle… but still! We’re not quiet or anything.

The Stanford people are just louder ;)

Haha.
