Yale Class of 2017 SCEA Discussion thread

babykid, they were either conducted by Yale alumni or other admissions officers (the two are not mutually exclusive).

Economist13, they shouldn’t have gotten it yet since they’re usually sent out around, well, mid year, haha. :)

I’ve kind of burnt myself out. I’m gonna get either deferred or rejected. I know it.

CantConcentrate, that’s interesting. Were you contacted? Also, low expectations will make for a pleasant surprise if you’re accepted!

@CantConcentrate I’m feeling the same way.

It’s a little less depressing than dartmouth/columbia this time. Probably because of reduced selectivity?

It is 1 day, 21 hours, 41 minutes, 36 seconds

Not so far away, now… >.<

I can feel the wrenching stomach feeling set in…

No, Penn was pretty bad. Brown was surprisingly okay though! I’m dreading Friday so much right now - seeing my friends deferred/rejected is really disheartening. Agh.

hahah the wrenching stomach feeling has been firmly set in for a solid few days now. The last time I felt like this was when I ran for class president for sophomore year and the race was so close they took a week to finalize the count and contact absent people for their votes…I’d be very very happy if this experience took after that one though, because I luckily pulled off the victory

I had two friends out of three accepted to Brown. No one applied to Penn, but our school is kind of small.

babykid, yes, I was contacted for an interview with Yale-NUS.

This feeling is terrible.

I can’t stop thinking about it. If for two moments I actually think about something else, something reminds me of my looming fate. At this point, I just want to know.

Living in the shadow of cambridge around 10 kids from my 300 person applied to Harvard early. The stress building in the ap classes this week is palpable.

Remember when I said that I have 5 tests on Friday?

That’s coming in handy right now.

My school is pretty underachieving. My class is the biggest push for going out of state to elite schools. 1 Early to Stanford, 1 to MIT, myself to Yale. There’s some more applications to ivys and elites for RD from more people, but that’s stellar for our school.

Last night I dreamed about getting rejected… :/

@kelgrl , I had a dream a few weeks ago I was deferred to wake up into my next dream where I was reject haha

@Philovitist STOP haha… please?

@cedardog INCEPTION!

also so far 0/8 people have been accepted at my school to columbia/penn/brown D:

My second choice is Brown. Third choice, and one where I feel like I’ll definitely get in, is Wesleyan.

Also, I hurt my knee during track so I scheduled physical therapy from 4:00-5:00 on Friday to make the wait more bearable. :D

My second choice is UBC. Canadians will know what it is, haha.

does anyone know if shoppers or metro grocery sells pre paid credit cards for Apple products? and if not where can I get them?
