I’m guessing Yale normally requests first quarter grades?

I haven’t heard anything from an interviewer yet either and I submitted my application just a day before you. How big is your school and how close is it to the Alumni Committee. I’m only the second person to apply to Yale from my school and we have never sent anyone anywhere better than the University of Michigan. I’m wondering if that affects your interview chances.

Hello! I have a quick question regarding the application checklist.
The mid-year reports aren’t sent until mid-December, when first semester grades are submitted, right? I just want to be sure I’m understanding what they mean by that so I can be sure to remind my guidance counselor. Thank you!

^Yes, whenever first sem grades are in; for many HSs, this will mean sometime in Jan.

Ketchum, your chance of an interview depends on how many applicants and how many alumni interviewers there are in your area. It’s not a factor of how big your HS is or how many have applied/been accepted in the past.

I thought midyear reports were for semester grades? Are we supposed to send in quarter grades, too?

This is a bit down the line, but when in the evening does Yale post acceptance on Dec 17th? I ask because I really don’t want to go through the suspense of checking and then just realizing I still need to wait a bit longer. :p

okay that’s what I thought. Thanks entomom!

whisper12 I was thinking the same thing. But all i know is that school on the 17th will be the longest day ever.

Ketchum&whisper: Looking at last year’s decisions thread, it seems like it is around 6 o’clock at night. But CC is in “GMT -4”, so I have no idea what that translates to in you guys’ time zones. It’ll be at 4 pm for me.
lol D-day is in the middle of exam week for my school and on the AP Lit/AP CS exam day. Why can’t they release it a bit later…

Dang that means it around 7 my local time. But sadly that is tip off for my basketball game so I won’t know until after. -_-

Agreed the weekend before will be stressful as well. I wonder why it’s on a tuesday instead of the usual friday

My guess would be that when they extended the deadline they also extended the time they gave themselves to get the acceptances out.

Quick question- I sent my test scores to Yale ages ago, but I took another SAT subject test in October. I’d have to send this score to them too, right? Because they require all test scores (even if my two earlier subject test scores were higher)?

@thelemonisinplay yes

i submitted everything on 10/30 and have not received any eli info yet… i got confirmation emails from common app for the common and yale supp

Awesome, just making sure. Thanks SpoolMan!

For past years, the times that results were released seems to be 5 PM on the day of release.

Eastern time.

does anyone know if you get notified about the interview through the eli account?
