No LOL, and she went to graduate school at Yale. I don’t really want to disclose my interviewers name. It would be weird if he/she somehow saw this post LOL. Also, how cool would it be if Sam Tsui was an interviewer! For those of you who don’t know Sam Tsui, he’s a youtube singer who has been getting a lot of fame over the years. I met him after his concert, which was the day after I visited Yale for the first time, and when I met him I was like, " Hey! I saw you in the admissions video at Yale." He calmly responded, “Yeah…they put me in that.” —Surprisingly, he didn’t seem to care much about the fact that he went to Yale. It sounded a lot like he forgot he went there…

Well, then that narrows it down to…

On this note… I always thought that Yale had the most Academy Award winners, but that distinction actually goes to Columbia.

As of two days ago, my fee waiver request appears as approved on my Eli account. Does anybody around here still have it pending? I’m just wondering if maybe my file’s already been read, but it might also be because my November SAT scores were sent then… 23 more days!

I have my interview tomorrow!
To all of those who have done theirs, did you come across any unexpected questions?

I have a quick question. I had my interview at the interviewer’s house. For a thank-you note, should I send an email or should I send a handwritten note since I have his address?

I think snail mail would be better since it shows that you took more time to thank them.

There is an X by the Mid-year report on the eli account. These only have to be sent in if you are deferred, correct?

Pretty sure they’re sent regardless.

3 weeks from Tuesday :)

I wish I were as excited for the results as you are…

excited? more like extremely nervous :P

I’ve applied SCEA to Yale.

Lol, I have no emotions at all about it. I’ve never been this apathetic in my life.

I had my interview on Thursday in a coffee shop in Central London - it was so nice. The gentleman was charming; I’d stayed at Saybrook on the UK equivalent of Questbridge, and that’s the college he went to! Instant icebreaker nothing more to do except wait now

And that wait is down to 551 hours…

Hey everyone!
I have a quick question. As I was updating my Common App for other schools, I realized that I never self-reported my AP scores. I actually already received college credit for these courses (got them sent to my local college since I’m dual-enrolled), so I already have the college credit. Should I contact Yale and let them know about my AP scores, or just not worry about it since they’re listed on my transcripts? Thank you!!

Is it safe to assume that I will not be contacted for an interview if I had one on campus? I’ve been checking my spam with no news yet

What do I bring to my interview?
