Only 35h left~~

Okay, so the polar plunge just became an option for stress relief. Love it!

I think that for Yale-NUS the interviews are a must, because they are conducted by admissions officers (as opposed to Yale interviews by alumni). And they do shortlist very few people, so it is at least a disatvantage (might not be considered). But donāt take my word for it, I applied to Yale-NUS as well, just trying to reason through this :)

@FlaWless007

Oh, I didnāt notice that you are applying to Yale-NUS. I donāt know about that because I didnāt apply to it.

@FlaWless007

From what I understood from reading NUSās website and emails, the interview was mandatory for those shortlisted.

@FlaWless007 Are you applying to Yale as well as Yale-NUS?

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow! Youāre only a day away! (: I never thought that Iād want a Monday to get here!

@lion0924 Agreed! Iāve never wanted a Monday so much in my life! And probably never will again lol

s o m u c h a n t i c i p a t i o n

goodness. iāve never been so nervous.

I both want Monday to come and not to comeā¦ I have a midterm tomorrow and Iām really nervous about it, because I procrastinated a lot this weekend (especially by reloading the admission decisions website hundreds of times a day). But I also want to know the Yale results. Like Natalie Imbruglia would say, Iām torn (although her context is totally different) :-s

Well itāll just be a challenge weāve gotta face in our livesā¦ Just like Winston Churchillās quote someone used in this thread āsuccess is not final, failure is not fatal; itās the courage to carry on that mattersā, itās actually no big deal if we are brave enough to embrace the results. Keep calm and let it be, guys, and every one of us will for sure end up somewhere we love, Yale or other schools. :)

My parents are actually threatening to change my Eli account password so I wonāt be able to check my decision until after this week is over. Considering that if itās bad news, Iāll be too depressed to do any work, and if itās good news, then Iāll be too happy (and Iāll catch a bad case of Senioritis) to do any work, they may be on to something. BUT if I donāt know and everyone else does Iāll be stressing the whole week, and I still wonāt get anything done.
All in all, itās no bueno.

I just want to say good luck to us all. Weāre all able-bodied, brilliant, wonderful people whose value does not decrease because of a rejection. Best of luck to us all!

Okayā¦so I just had a dream that I was outright rejected. The worst part was that they were listing all the reasons āLow freshman year GPA, interviewer not impressed, etc.ā To be honest, it kind of sucked. BUT I SURVIVED. Even though it was just a dream, I actually feel better (mentally) prepared for results tomorrow.

Best of luck to all of you!

The Eli Account website keeps saying the application checklist is closed until Thursday and I canāt log on??? What does that mean about decisions? Like where will they show up??

To answer the question about Yale-NUS, if you were shortlisted and offered an interview, you must accept the interview to be considered for admission.

Also I had my second dream about checking my admissions decision. So nervous!!!

NotReallyTexan: I believe that this is the proper link to checkā¦

Good Luck

I have two dual enrollment finals tomorrow (Calc I and Brit Lit) so itāll be great to get those done with and then get my decision.
Honestly, no matter what the decision, I know that Iāll end up wherever God wants me. A rejection or deferral isnāt the end of the world. As much as I want to see āacceptedā Monday evening, Iām okay with whatever decision I receive. If Iām not meant to be at Yale, then I know Iāll be happier wherever I do end up. So that kind of helps my anxiety. I love Yale so much. Itās my dream school. But, I trust God and where He wants me.

if you are qualified to apply to Yale then you are smart enough to change your own eli password so your parents canāt change it and make the decision when to check the decision.
good luck!

^hahaha, agreed. Itās your decision, not theirs. Open it with them if you want, but just know that it has been your hard work that has gotten you this far (with their presumably good coaching).

How many of you applied to Yale-NUS as well? I applied and got short-listed, but I chose not to do an interviewā¦ How many of you were short-listed, and does short-listed mean that youāre a pretty qualified applicant?
