Secondly, does anyone know if applying for a particular major helps an applicant? So, for example, if I’m applying for Art or Music will my application be weighed differently compared to those who are applying for Molecular Biology?

Congratulations to the Questbridge Scholars - from social media, it looks like Yale accepted 51 Quest scholars this year, up from 40 last year and in keeping with the commitment Yale made at the White House to expand access.
I wonder how Questbridge Scholars are calculated in the admissions stats.

Hey guy. Yale contact me again for an interview. As I said before, Yale contacted me one time but my location was inconvenient for the interviewer to have a face-2face conversation. So now, 12/2 i got contact by Keith Light.Is it weird?? I thought all the interviews end in 12/1. He’s the admission officer responsible for Vietnamese students. Any sign of hope :((
@zacle1234 , it is something to think about due to the fact that the reports were due on the 1st. But if an admission rep did contact you, then there could be an exception. Maybe he talked to the Yale office of undergrad to reach out? Maybe the deadline was extended? You never know, but since he is offering to meet, I dont see any harm. Worst case scenario, its too late to file the report. But in that case, at least you got some experience. I would take the opportunity.

Hey! I was never contacted about an interview. Do you think that’s bad? On what criteria to they base who they choose for admissions? Also, if it makes a difference I applied pretty late (really close to the deadline).
@LovePeanutButter , you are nit penalized for not having an interview. Thats simply not your fault. Yale cannot provide Every single student an interview. Applications are just handed to region alumnus and they go through and contact applicants. I do not believe there is a specific way they pick out people for interviews.
