@nftynotnifty That’s the worst. I mean, good for them, but it’s painful not to know.
At least we have a decision date. Princeton still doesn’t have one.

@nftynotnifty Literally me right now. So many Wharton acceptances.
Simultaneously really really really want to know and don’t want to know anymore, after the litter of rejections/deferrals last night and this afternoon.
Feel like puking – and there’s still 4 days left.
Let’s see if any of us have overlapping ECs… has anyone here been involved with National History Day or the Cappies?
What are all of your prospective majors?
@glasshours I plan to double major in history and theatre
I plan on doing Film Studies and Global Affairs or French! Haven’t fully decided yet, I will once I’m on campus (hopefully :’( )
@Glasshours Global affairs, political science, and economics, but I love all the social sciences and would love the chance to explore them all at Yale!
WHICH ACTUALLY RISES A question! I asked before but no one had answered, does applying for a certain major help an applicant? Like, if I were applying as an Art major or Theater like someone mentioned would I be at an advantage because (I assume) they aren’t as rigorous as a biochem major would be or engineering
English and Political science
@16elir , yeah! I did NHD for the past two years and I’m doing it this year as well
Any other Art History applicants?
Also, Stanford just came out. Stanford vs Yale EA was my decision up until the very last minute. What could have been…
@glasshours Prospective English Major here
@gabe211212 I’m pretty sure Yale has a policy that doesn’t discriminate decisions based on major choice. HOWEVER, any major could help you out if you’re passionate enough about it that you wrote a good explanation in the “Why Are You Interested In These Fields?” supplement question
My majors are most likely going to be Molecular Biophysics and Biochem and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Bio, which should be an easy combination with much overlap. So excited for that!
EPE & Psychology are my intended majors! I see many social science-y people here @mjstewart1224 Princeton’s decision has actually come out (today I think) – it’s the 16th. Agony.
Did anyone else put down applied math or statistics here?
@strideforward - I put that as my second choice!
@gabe211212 I’ve actually heard that prospective science/engi students have an advantage because Yale has traditionally attracted arts/humanities/social science types. They’re trying to boost their engineering and natural science programs now. That’s why applicants with exceptional performance in science will get “recruited” (i.e. receive likely letters).
I’m super interested in social sciences. Top one is probably sociology. Also mathematics and or economics are options I am thinking of.
Hey, can someone answer this for me?
On December 15th, near 5:00, will we get an email with our official decision in it? Or do we get an email saying to check the portal? Or do we get an email at all 0.o?
Thanks!
