I got the call from my admissions officer last night, I’ve been taken off the waitlist and accepted! I’m currently deciding between Yale and UChicago, and I’m hoping to get my financial aid statement ASAP, as I only have a week to reply!!
What times did they call you to notify you of your waitlist acceptance?
I hope they’re not done with the first wave
@wintergreen16 I received the call last night, around 5:30 EST
@geogitt Ah. Okay. So I guess there was none today then… Thanks for sharing the info!! And congratulations on the acceptance!!
Does anyone know if international students get phone calls too?
Whelp, looks like they might be done with the first wave. Wonder when rejections are coming out
Thank you @wintergreen16 and best of luck to you!
@geogitt Thank you! Even though the chances seem so slim now, still holding onto the hope that I can potentially join you in the class of 2020 haha…
Surprised there has been no additional news. It would be nice if they at least rejected some of the people on the waitlist and let them move on.
Just got an email/portal update Anyone else have the same?
I did too
This is so sad
Me as well. Rejected.
It’s truly very terrible
Rejected. Was the most important college among my waitlisted colleges.
I was told that I would be kept on a “short remaining wait list.” Honestly, Yale was my dream school, but I’m not sure I want to do all of this waiting when I was accepted by Harvard in December Waitlists are the worst
Did you all really expect any different given the information you had?
Rejoice in your waitlist! You were still cream of the crop. Go and save the money you may have spent on Yale and use it on something else. Ice cream, tissues, and a decent vacation.
Yale is a great undergrad. But it’s also a great graduate school. And a great residency. Apply for those! Or don’t at all!
For me, I don’t care that I didn’t get in. Already have the majority of med school paid off. How many at Yale can say that?
Now go off and be successful my little blue footed boobies.
Ultimately, I would choose Yale over Harvard, but it just sucks to be kept in limbo. Somewhat envious of everyone who has received a decision, including a rejection. Good luck on all your future endeavors
Now I know what people felt when I first whined about getting accepted into several colleges…
Dude, EMBRACE WHAT YOU HAVE!
