ACADEMICS
-I have taken all Honors and AP courses during High School. I attend a Magnet School and apparently all the classes are Honors.
-My upcoming courses for this year are AP French, AP Chemsitry, AP Calculus BC, AP US Government and Politics, and English 4.
-Last year I took two AP's, US History and Calculus AB (the only two offered).
-My weighted GPA is 4.05 and my class rank is 7/104, although this is from tenth grade because my school district sucks. They are "revamping" the system and so they are still calculating our ranks in the new method. We won't find out until this upcoming year our new ranks, but I have reason to believe mine will get better, counting AP's and grades of people ahead of me.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
-A lot of things through my church.
- Play piano at nursing home a couple of times a year, don't know if this counts but I feel like it would.

My recommendations will be really good because I know both of the teachers who are doing them very well. And I'm still working on my essays, but I'm working really hard on them.

Please don't reply if you're still in high school yourself. And also, if you know anything about it could you tell me if AIME (my score was only a 2 but I think my AMC was 119.5) is a good thing to include. I've seen that it was a very good thing in one Chance thread and a pretty stupid one in one of my previous posts, so I really don't know what to believe.

back again?

yes with new schools because people weren't noticing i asked for more and plus people weren't noticing the old thread at all, it's way back now.

I suggest looking "beyond" the ivies.

a better idea: create your own school, 100% admission lol

Uh, good luck getting a good deal of replies from non-high schoolers. Though one could argue that merely being accepted into college doesn't automatically make one more knowledgable. I don't think it takes a seasoned admissions officer to say 'reach', though (Cornell obviously being less of one).

I'm definitely looking beyond the ivies, it's just I wanted my chances more at these than my safety and match schools.

Qualifying for the AIME is certainly an accomplishment; that's also a nice AMC score. Report both to your colleges.
