~* Yale Ea Roster *~

You forgot about Poland! Hahah. No, but you did forget about me. :(

Biomedical engineering (maybe chemical) - similar to athlon (who forgot me)

Also doing premed probably....hopefully at Yale!

Economics!

Don't forget tallyrand!

I'm definately going to be pre-med, and I hope to major in Molecular Biology and English. It's cool how stat-free this Yale board is. We're all in this together, and that's cool. :)

....this list keeps getting longer

ugh... hey- maybe we'll all get in! (don't we wish!) :)

then we can start our own CC secret society.

study of women gender and sexuality w/ premed -> i want to be a plastic surgeon

political science or maybe possibly political communications

I'm applying early with a major of African Studies.

Put me down for physics! Or maybe Comp Sci...

Honestly, how many people on the list do you think will make it? A majority of them or like 3-5?

Tennispro: That's an interesting point you make. Its strange to view the list in such a way that only a handful will make the cut. I think it'll be closer to 2-3.

hey, whoever is running the list, when december 15 comes, u should update it, like who got rejected and accepted and deferred. it would be useful to kids applying next year, like what percentage of college confidential ppl are getting in

jara, yeah, I was thinking of something along those lines.

tennispro and lindsey, don't be so pessimistic. I have faith in my fellow CC'ers. I'm pretty sure us CCers will be above the normal EA admit rate for yale :)

Based on the 16.5% EA admit rate last year, about 5 of out the 31 of us will get accepted in Dec.

As depressing as it is to think about...I think Jarahul's idea is a good one.

Its a pretty depressing statistic, considering how great everyone's stats are here.

Oh, and athlon, I think the CC Yale EA results from last year were around 20%, so we did a little bit, but not much, better.

Me early too! I am planning on a history major

I will likely be double-majoring in English (specifically creative writing, if that's possible) and in econ.

As far as the admission rate is concerned... it's definitely somewhat frightening that so many talented applicants are turned away. I originally intended to just apply ED to a smaller liberal arts college like Swat where my chances of acceptance are so much greater. However, I realized that Yale is my top choice, and even though the odds are against me, I'd feel too guilty about not seizing the opportunity to apply to my favorite school early.

Incidentally, does anyone know if it's harder to get in if you live in-state? I don't know if Yale runs like geographical distribution quotas or whatnot.

Thanks! good luck to all... now back to the essays.
