Hi all,

It's been a busy few months. I've been around CC in a much condensed form, but It's time to begin coming back en masse.

So, after the Yale deferral, I sort of freaked and applied to a number of schools. After the January 1st deadline, I had all the esssays and app done that I needed (much better than the Yale app, argg), so I kept on adding them.

The list stands as:
Yale
Princeton
Dartmouth
Middlebury
Harvard
Brown
Georgetown
George Washington
American
Haverford
Amherst
Lawrence
Franklin and Marshall
Grinnell
Lewis and Clark
Whitman
University of Puget Sound
Swarthmore
Bard (I forgot for a second)

Crazy Right. But I also had to balance getting in with Merit Money.

A few preliminary results:
Grinnell- Accepted with $60,000 total (after $10,000 a year less total cost) comes to $18,000 a year for one of the nations best liberal arts schools.

Amherst- Accepted

Dartmouth- Likely letter.

---------------So, now I have to wait to see where to get in, and where I get money. Grinnell will probably have the best offer (they have tons of merit money to throw around and a cheaper base cost). Dartmouth was near the top of the list, so schools like Haverford are probably out.

Yale is still at the top, although after the deferral I made myself like Princeton more (not a great idea to make spirits go up, really harsh acceptence rate to). I'm hoping the earliers from Dartmouth and Ameherst show my competative level, but Different app with better essays and a short resume.

So, I still wait. I'm ok though, because I have two amazing schools and one great school that is affordable.

Still crossing my fingers for New Haven (for myself and all of you),
