Thanks! I got in too!!! @yaledreamer97
Got deferred… Oh well, I guess the wait is not over I’m kind of disappointed right now.
omggg i can’t check too nervous… are people who got in @ZoraaaL @yaledreamer97 singaporeans or international? Congrats to you all T_T
Admitted!!! Im international, europe. Where did you get ur scholarship information?
Congratulations @runwithout @zoraaal @yaledreamer97 See you all in the Facebook group and maybe at the fly-in?
I’m an international as well by the way @chihayafuru
@an1620 Did you read the comment a few pages back about deferrals? They are actually not bad news at all Congratulations, it’s an accomplishment in of itself and could be a really good sign for scholarships and such
@runwithout Along with my acceptance letter on the portal, there is a separate scholarship letter that explains my full situation with merit/financial scholarship.
@pubkid I know, but I hoped I would have an early acceptance. I don’t consider myself a strong enough applicant to receieve merit aid, compared to all the amazing applicants, so…
Congrats to everyone that got accepted!
Thanks! @chihayafuru International, China:D
@an1620 I totally understand. Deferral feels a lot like purgatory, and with most US schools you accept that it doesn’t mean much. While waiting isn’t ideal, you should rest assured that you’re definitely in the running still.
Congrats to all who got in!! I’m a singaporean who applied in this round for the 17/18 academic year (would be class of 2021) and got deferred
Would this be an indication that my chances are low, or is there a possibility that I was deferred because I matriculate later?
@pubkid Thank you for encouraging me! I hope it will all go well in the end
@hemingwei96 Love the username hahah
Also, a few pages back a current student discussed it. Long story short, no! It is not a bad thing — they only defer a select few who are still in the running apparently Congrats!
wow so seems like almost everyone on this thread got in :OO nice job guys ^^
Got deferred! Which, I think I’m happy with since I still have a chance for the merit scholarship! Congratulations to those who got in!
If you look on the merit page, there are three main school-sponsored merit awards, and only around 5 of the “full ride” are offered and probably slightly more for each one below from there. I imagine most need to be considered in later rounds, especially for the top awards. Not sure exactly, because clearly some were determined right away?
@pubkid Oh my, it was supposed to be subtle :))
Thanks! I certainly hope it’s not a bad thing. Guess we shall see in March!
Those of you who got accepted, do you mind sharing your stats?
omggg just checked T_T got in!
congrats! @chihayafuru
Do you guys know if merit scholarships come always with the decisions? Or they may be annouced afterwards?
Also is anyone familiar with financial packages of YALENUS? It would be terrible If I couldnt afford it when I got in
Have any Singaporeans got in? So far seems like only internationals have gotten in?
