Yale-NUS Class of 2021

@alwayslate17 are you sure cuz my interviewer said its out in early April.

@DEEPUSS @NabeelCheung @alwayslate17 The website says decisions will be released in early April – the interviewer was mistaken, I guess. Best of luck for all!

Just received my interview invite, guys! Super excited! Does someone have any tips to ace these interviews? Any help is really appreciated!

Congrats! I’ve been following this thread since the day I applied for round 1. I’ve still get to get an interview though…do you know when was the last day for interview slots??

@Rsujung i think it is the 17th. not sure though don’t take my word for it.

@Rsujung The last day was listed as 23rd of Feb, but it may be even after that.

Thanks guys for the reply! Also for @yirinee , do you mind telling me when you applied?

@Rsujung I applied on the last day - the deadline date

I ALSO GOT THE INTERVIEW IN THE MORNING TODAY! I applied on the 14th Jan. So excited!! Good luck everyone and lets hope to have a get-together once the decisions are released! I am an international applicant, but I live in Singapore - long story… any tips on how to do the interview??

i mean i got the invitation today

@Gen49812 I HAVE THE SAME STORYLINE AS YOU DO!! Except I don’t live in Singapore :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you! Let’s hope for the best, guys!!

Good luck! @yirinee @Gen49812
Just be ready to talk about yourself. My interview was nothing too out of the box, although he asked what I would change about my high school. I’ve read that some interviews were more quirky than others, but as long as you are honest with your answers, I don’t think you should worry. Also make sure the interview is additional insight into who you are; don’t just repeat what you’ve already mentioned in your application. Also, let’s stay active here, specially that decisions are kind of late.

Hey guys! I just had my interview today so that was really fun. My interviewer said that the decisions would be released for different people at different times but all in the first week of April, so if you get a notification pretty early, you’ll know about where you were in the applicant pool i guess.

Questions:
Tell me about your school/yourself --> fav classes, extracurriculars, etc.
What’re you looking forward to?

It was pretty lax so don’t at all worry about it! Good luck to all of you!

Hi, guys! My friends and I apply to Yale NUS Early Action round 1. We are from different countries but apply from the UK, so I assume our applications are considered in the UK pool. Hence, I want to ask whether anybody from the UK or Europe has been invited to an interview? It’s kinda worrying since today is the last day of the 5th week after the deadline.

Does anybody know when Yale-NUS will stop sending out the invitation?

@ChrisSam I’ve been reading that the invitations are sent out throughout February so there’s still time don’t worry.

I just finished my interview 30 minutes ago. It’s was 28 minutes long and went pretty smoothly. It was basically him asking questions about me; why I want to go to Yale-NUS, what are three adjectives that my friends would use to describe me, “tell me about yourself,” what I wanna do in college and some other questions were questions that were tailored for me depending on my life and my classes. I was really nervous but my interviewer was really kind and nice and reassured me not to be so nervous a couple times throughout the interview. You’re going to be doing a lot of talking though about yourself mainly. It’s definitely more like a conversation.

Just finished my interview! mine was 29 minutes long and it was fine… I stuttered like a dumbass in the middle of it but she said it happens so I got back on my feet easily. There were no trick questions. Hopefully I get in.

Hey I just got an email from financial aid asking me to upload my parents tax firms which I have already done. Strange I uploaded it days ago but oh well guess I’ll send them an email. Anybody else got a similar email??

Oh just realised they are asking for the 2016-17 tax returns. But the problem is we haven’t filed it yet… what should I do?? Should I tell them??? Or should I wait till my parents file them??
