Hey guys, I have a question about the scholarships - can you be considered for the merit-based scholarships if you haven’t submitted the need-based financial aid form? Because on the site it states that every applicant is considered for merit-based scholarships without any form/application, but I’m a bit unsure…

Applied round 2
Direct to Yale-NUS
Nothing yet lol

@yirinee yeah, I think you should be okay. Some schools in the US however use merit scholarships in replacement of finaid. Like, the amount of merit scholarship differs based on how much you need(northeastern). But looking at their website, I don’t think ync does that :slight_smile: and there’s only like 200 for a class, so there should be lots of merit scholarships handed out :slight_smile: in old cc subs, people got generous packages ^^

@ethanwatson4 Thanks! But the thing is, I haven’t applied for financial aid… I should still be eligible for merit-based scholarships though, right? Just to clarify your answer… thanks for all your help! The anxiety is getting insane LOL 8-|

@yirinee check this out :slight_smile:
“Simply apply to Yale-NUS College and you will automatically be considered for the scholarships listed below. No additional materials are required. And no interviews either. It’s that simple.” That’s on their merit scholly page.
And, omg, the global leadership scholarship looks so beautiful

I’m anxious too, and I don’t even have decisions for a while rip

@ethanwatson4 Gosh that’s so helpful! Thank you so very much! Really appreciate it! I think the only thing we can do is hold on, be positive and know that everything will work out for our best. :slight_smile:

The global leader scholarship looks so amazing. But my chances at even getting admitted are slim to none. One can dream tho right?!

So conclusion is whoever applied through yale got the mail to differentiate between yale result and yale nus result

@savambi hahaha same story for all of us, I guess! But, let’s hope we’re all in for a jolly good surprise British accent :))

Hello! I applied Round 2. I’m an international student. I hope we here will be contacted for an interview soon. Good luck!

@USUG21 I think that’s correct because one of my friends applied to both yale and yale-us, withdrew her app from yale-nus, and still got the email.

Also didn’t the email say that decisions will come out for both schools by March 30th?

@onthewaysimpson hey I just saw your post about the TNT express mail. when is it expected to arrive?
