Yale or Princeton?

I got into Princeton and was put off Yale’s waitlist today. I really don’t know which one to choose since they are both amazing schools. I guess I wanted to hear from some of you what the best option for me would be or which school is better?

I chose Yale over Princeton, partially due to Yale’s better financial aid package but mostly because Yale had friendlier people, better social life, and a cool residential college system. Go to Yale!

Princeton also has a residential college system.

The biggest difference between the two is in vibe: Yale is more urban; Princeton is more country clubbish. Yale is more diverse, age-wise; Princeton skews younger since it doesn’t have a med school, law school or business school. Yale has far more students than Princeton. Which appeals to you more?

I thought you were going to Penn State @Simplynati

what is your major?

@suzyQ7 this is for my boyfriend , he posted on my account

@texaspg chemistry/ poly sci on a pre med track

If you’re strongly considering med school someday, go to Yale. They send more grads to top med schools than Princeton does, from what I’ve seen, and the rumors circulating around are that is largely due to Yale’s severe grade inflation system.

I’d go with personal preference. Agree with the assessment of the vibe of the two schools in post #2 above.

Premed - definitely Yale.
