Yale SCEA and Stanford Deadline Conflict

I'm sure someone has asked this before, but I can't find it and I'm panicking. I applied to Yale SCEA, and I'm supposed to hear back in 'Mid-December.' (Isn't that wonderfully specific?). Stanford's Regular Review deadline is December 15, and I don't know if 'Mid-December' will be December 16. I'd be very disappointed if I don't get into Yale and I didn't apply to Stanford, but I would be angry if I spent the $75 on the application and I do get into Yale.

I know this is a Stanford thread, so disclaimer: it's not that Yale is better than Stanford, it's just that I wanted to get out of the state for post-secondary education--I've been in CA all my life. But I really wouldn't mind going to Stanford if they let me in :)

Does anyone else have this dilemma?

Bumpity, bump bump

If you want to apply to Stanford, you'll probably have to spend the $75. You probably will not find out your EA otcome from Yale early enough. You could try to have the app ready to go and wait till the 15th to mail it (just in case you hear from Yale by that time)...

Yeah, I'm int the same bind (except with ED II to another school, SCEA to Stanford) I'm pretty much just gonna pay and hope for the best.
