My scores don’t say that they are submitted and I applied on Oct. 22… Should I contact the admissions office? I sent my scores to Yale on Sept 10ish
@DreamforIvy maybe it’s my paranoia bleeding in, but I think it would be worth a call.
I applied 15 minutes ago, now it’s time to play the waiting game. But at least that’s one deadline cleared in time for Halloween!
Just applied! Feels like a massive relief, and I can’t describe the excitement. When do you typically get the invite to the portal?
I applied last night at like 10Pm and got it 12 hours later
Just applied yesterday and got the link to the Yale portal! It says that everything has been received, except there’s no green check mark next to “Common Application.” Is that how it is for everyone?
@Sunnyyy Does it say recieved? Mine does but instead of a check or X it has a little unloading box (but it says received so I figure it’s fine)
I submitted it last night, but haven’t received it like all of you?
I submitted on the 21st and it still doesn’t have the check mark next to common app (even though it says received) it just has that weird box
Access to the portal
I have the box thing too, but I’m pretty sure all that matters is that it says ‘received’ next to it.
rereading my community essay and realizing the “footprint” part is a little vague. anyone else in the same boat?
Wait for those that did get it, how soon after did you receive access to the portal?
@chyaboi123 I submitted Thursday morning and got my invite Friday (evening?)
@mochilate1897 Well, I knew what I would’ve written about but I felt it was too hard to explain concisely, so I went with the other two prompts (good thing they give three!)
I suppose it’s based on your experience–there may be nothing yet, or something blatant, or somewhere in between. The openendedness of the prompt makes it easier to approach, imo.
@Seniors.yikes.us I guess the footprint is open to a lot of interpretation, so a slightly vague response should still be cool
@mochilate1897 whoops, misunderstood your question. Is it possible for you to show someone real quick and see if they, removed from the scenario, get a good impression? Sorry
Hey guys. I know that this question is just me being paranoid and nitpicky, but in your portals does the commonapp have a different icon next to “received” than the rest of your stuff (like recs, transcripts, testing, etc.)? For me, everything has a green check mark next to the word “received” but the commonapp has a something that looks like a white box (it still says received). Is this how it is for you guys? Thanks!!!
@wanderlust618 yep, on pg 14 we were all just conferring about that. Safe to assume it’s a harmless glitch ^^
@Seniors.yikes.us Sure, if anyone wants to just pm me, thanks a bunch
My teacher finally submitted his rec. The waiting begins.
