Yale vs Columbia Rabi Scholars

Hello, everyone.

I was admitted to Yale and Columbia (as a Rabi Scholar)for Class of 2024, and I have been trying to make a decision between the two. While I prefer the supportive vibe of Yale above the more competitive atmosphere of Columbia, the opportunity of research as a Rabi Scholar is also important to me.

Basically what the Rabi Scholar is is that undergrad students can conduct research for up to three summers, fully funded and under Columbia’s faculty. I would love to work in the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory for physical oceanography research.

I was wondering, would a similar opportunity be readily available at Yale through fellowships?

Also, any reviews on Yale and/or Columbia’s Oceanography/Geophysics departments for undergraduates would be much appreciated:)
