What are the pros and cons of each? Is it true Harvard gives more opportunities to its undergraduates then Yale? Which should I choose to apply to?

I really hope you know the difference between then and than.

This is one of the most discussed topics on CC.

woops than*

Yeah that thread is three years old though

Apply to both and it’ll increase your chances (albeit a little) of getting in. Worry about which to go to later, if you get accepted to both.

both schools contain 95% of their value in their name brand recognition!
if you want a better more supportive, happier environment choose yale (IMO)
if you can look past the silly HYP fluff…choose carelton, haverford, hendrix or muhlenberg.

I think Yale cares about their undergrads more than Harvard

I think the many older threads on <insert ivy="" league="" schoolx=""> versus <insert ivy="" league="" school="" y=""> are perfectly valid. Those institutions don’t change much in three years.</insert></insert>

Harvard imo

No, the opportunities they receive should be the same.

Apply to both. Personally, i’ve heard Yale > Harvard for education; Harvard > Yale for networking.

Personally, I’ve heard it’s very hard to get into both.
