Yale vs. Stanford Early Action

I’m actually in the same situation. My dream school is Yale, but I’m afraid I’ll get rejected if I apply early, so I was thinking about applying to Stanford early action to test the waters. If I get rejected, then I was thinking about applying to more safety schools.
Suggestions?

I am also considering applying to Yale or Stanford early action. My first SAT scores are within the middle 50 for both, but close to the bottom. I know I can do better next time after studying and taking the practice tests. I won’t have enough time to take the SAT again and the subject tests before the deadline. Will I have a better chance if I apply to one early action with my current scores, or should I wait to increase my scores and apply to both by the regular deadline?

if you want to go early, let it be stanford. Stanford is the most likely to give you a yay or nay, where as yale is likely to defer you anyway. also, dont worry so much about test scores with stanford. focus on the essays first and foremost, thats what they care aout most. good luck
