Yale's Mailing Address PO Box or Hillside ?

I'm doing paper app. I chose to put my application in a big manilla envelope(you guys know what I'm talking about). For those using paper app, are you guys using the Yale envelope that comes with the paper app, or just using one of your own(like me - manilla envelope) ?

Also, I'm really confused. PO BOX 208234 or 38 Hillside Ave ? Which one should I send it to ?

The PO box

I'm using a manilla envelope also. I don't want to fold the pages!

Hahaha. I was too scared to fold my application to fit it into the envelope they sent us, so I had the school secretary do it for me. I mean, she's like a professional envelope stuffer. :)

you're sure that we send it to the PO box? I'm starting to get paranoid about this!

What kind of envelope did you guys give your teachers for the rec?!? Would a plain white envelope be alright?

yea, PO box for regular mail. and teacher recs in plain white envelope is fine.

I gave a plain white evenlope

Considering Admisssions is on HILLHOUSE AVE, I suggest you use the P.O. Box. At least then they have a chance of getting it.

I used plain white legal envelopes for counselor forms, simply because they always have piles and piles of the manilla kind on their desks. I wouldn't want mine to get lost in all the rubble! I don't think UG Admissions is going to care about what envelope you have it in (although I definitely relate with the whole folding thing, i'm doing the same)!

As for the address, to clarify - you can always call UG Admissions and ask. That's what I do for stuff I can't find on the website :)

Use a 9X12 envelope. Do not fold any of your stuff. ALWAYS use the P.O. Box address.

It says on the application to use the P.O. Box for regular mail and the Hillside address if you're using FedEx or UPS or another carrier that doesn't deliver to P.O. Boxes.

What's wrong with folding stuff?

i'm just using plain old white envelopes for the teacher evals. they are gonna be folded, but it should be ok.

Stuff looks better unfolded.

There are pros/cons to everything - just do what is most convenient for you! If you don't have everything in time, it won't matter what it looks like - you know?

haha. she's right though
