<p>Anyways. Chance me plz.</p>

<p>SAT I: 2260 (CR 730, M: 740, W: 790)
SATII: Math2C: 800, Bio and Chem: 780s, USHist: 760
Chinese male: Not an advantage unless i apply to an all-Caucasian girls school.</p>

<p>APs: USH, Euro, Bio, EngLang, Compsci are all 5s, and Chem is 4; will probably take 4 more APs during senior year along with 2 more college classes.</p>

<p>GPA: Its about a 4.6 weighted and about 3.95 unweighted. All A's except one B during soph year. </p>

<p>Rank: Im sure Im in the top 12% of a 400 student class. I'm pretty sure I'm in the top 5 % but I cant be positive until the ranks come out later this year.</p>

*Volunteer at Hospital: 100+ hours

<p>Letter of Rec should be Good; both teachers like me and know me well.
Essays should be excellent but probably not spectacular.</p>

<p>So, hows my chances at these universities? In the order of my current preference:</p>

<p>can you think of any other schools that i would like? I would like a moderate size student body, but i do not really care. also i would rather it was not rural but again, i do not really care. And take into account that i live in California so public schools in other states, unless they are really good, would probably not make sense financially (middle class income, will need financial aid/loans) for me.</p>

<p>screenplay?....if you performed live its refered to as a stageplay, you being the playwright if you wrote it, if the admissions person is an ass it may turn him or her off.....take a look at georgetown, def if you like bball youd lov it there also check out worchester community college...jk</p>

<p>At the Ivies it's all about the rank--so we need to know this to give you chances. I'd would estimate that you are in the top 1-2% at your school if you've only had one B--so your estimates of 12%/5% are really confusing me. (Either that or your school grades really easy).</p>

<p>Anyway give us rank (or an estimate of it) and I'll do chances.</p>

<p>About the rank, i got a letter from my school saying that I'm definitly in the top 12%, but due to my GPA I'm pretty sure im in the top 5%.</p>

<p>I know about 10 people with higher GPAs as of now. Im assuming there are 10 more people I dont know who have higher GPAs.</p>

<p>So for the sake of argument, lets assume I'm top 5% out of 400ish.</p>

<p>and film212nyc: I wrote the play and had the lead role in it. I have no idea what that makes it xP. And im not sure how writing a play would "turn off" an admission person...</p>

<p>Dude did you not see Greg Oden suck it up so bad in SummerLeague that he had to quit due to "Tonsilitis" or whatever disease he made up to cover his suckyness?</p>

<p>And Yao is the best center right now, hands down. He just had a bad playoff series vs Utah, although he still averaged 25 pts a game.</p>

Shaq WAS better than yao. No argument there. He WAS one of the most dominant centers in the nba. That is before he got swept by the chicago bulls -.-</p>

<p>And also did you not see Yao dominate Shaq for 35 points or so during thier first meeting last season? Shaq is in serious decline. Yao is definitly better than Shaq at this point.</p>

<p>And i have a nagging feeling taht Oden will be a relative bust...can anyone say Olowakandi or Eddie Griffin xP? well, maybe not to that extent :)</p>

<p>You really have no good EC's at all. I'd say Very very high reach at HYS, and the rest you should get into most of them. Maybe not UPenn but you do have good scores/GPA.</p>

<p>Actually, I do think you can get into Dartmouth. Being asian and trying to get into dartmouth can work toward your favor. I don't have any raw stats, but of all the asians who i know that went to darmouth, they weren't exactly standout academically. You, on the other hand, have very solid test scores. Your geographic location may even help you, bc. i'm sure dartmouth isn't at the top of most californians list. So yes, I think you're in at Dartmouth, esp. if you apply early decision. If you apply ED then you have a very solid shot.</p>
