Year editions of prep books?

So my question is there a major amount of change in the year editions of ap prep books such as PR? I was just wondering if I can get my ap physics or calc prep book early, but I as I searched on amazon, I came across a 2011 edition that is soon to be released at the end of summer. So, is there a huge amount of difference between the 2010 and 2011 or is it ok to use 2010 for studying for the 2011 ap test? thanks for answers.

For the Calculus Exam, a new change has been made to the FRQ format: 2 questions for Part A and 4 questions for Part B. If your sole reason to buy the prep book is to study and review the concepts, 2010 would be preferable. However, if you want the update included, buy the 2011 edition.

Buying the 2010 edition for Physics B is alright.

If you want to save money, getting an older version is fine. Just check the CB outline to make sure you’ve covered everything.

PR 2002 and 2010 for AP US Gov/Pol are nearly identical in content. Seriously, most sections are word-for-word.

Some companies just change the title page and every instance of 2010 to 2011 and call it a new book. But every 5 years or so there’s a change, so if you’re one or two years behind it’s not a big deal.
