So, Yearbook at my school is a class rather than a club. I'm an officer as Editor-In-Chief but on the Common App they can't see that if I list it as a class. However, a lot of work such as photography is done outside of class, so should I list it as an extracurricular, or maybe should I add an Art Supplement form and mention it there (if there is a description portion, I haven't looked yet).

Perhaps you should just put it in both places?

I agree with clienk about putting it twice… If you want to put it once though, choose the extracurricular spot. I think if you put it only as a class it would be underestimated and you can’t highlight you editor-in-chief position.

Is there anyway I can feature it in the arts supplement?

If it’s a graded class I’d leave it in the academic section. The work you do outside of class would be considered homework.

I would include a brief explanation in the “additional information” section and make a note of your position as editor.

I would put it in both places, as I expect you put in a TON more time than the average homework for a class. At least, we did in yearbook when I was in high school. The colleges are not going to be bothered to see it in two places, it is a legitimate way to list the additional hours you spend and your responsibilities.

Definitely put in under the EC section too, since - I assume - you put lots of efforts into it, and besides, it’s not something that can be considered as a standard class, so it will even clarify it if you list it under both.
