p.s. Both my parents went to northeastern so I have a double legacy. I don't know how much that counts for but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.

please, i could use any advice i can get.

anyone???

oh i forgot University of Maryland College Park.

I wish that I was familiar with the colleges that you have listed but I am not. I recently joined CC and all I can say is that it gives you a very skewed view of what is normal. The reports of grades and SAT scores are primarily from the very top of the class. Most students are more like you. (great Extra curriculars btw!)I am sure that you researched the schools you applied to in order to see if your grades and SATs were in line with what they were looking for! Try to relax! there is a college for you. Best of luck!

im sure you’ll get into Delaware, idk much about it but legacy is always a good thing. the problem with schools outside of the top 15-20 is that there is a broader applicant pool so decisions are very hard to predict. Everyone knows more or less what the ivies are looking for, but im sure you have a great chance.

thanks so much for the feedback

anyone else?

Continue to show an upward trend in your grades to strengthen your chances. ECs look great. Make sure you work on the essays too! Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816473-chance-aa-female-elite-schools-updated-stats.html</a> <–Include Yale also!

You may not be an Ivy applicant, but you have accomplished a lot to be proud of. Northeastern and Del, the 2 you mentioned that I know kids attending, are very good schools. UDel has lots of out of state applicants, so it is tougher to get into than many think.

Schools which I think highly of and where you would have strong chances for admission are Susquehanna, Muhlenberg, Drew, Goucher and Alfred (all high quality, very friendly small schools); St. Josephs (since you list Salve) and UConn (since you listed some state flagships).

Northeastern- Match (legacy helps)
UVM- Match
Quinnipiac- Match
Not sure about the others. Sorry.

Legacy will not help at NU, there are way too many alumni for that to happen. The thing that will help you the most is if you are good at rowing and you contact the coach. NU has a great rowing program/tradition.

Salve Regina - in

Endicott College - in

CalGal -

I think you are a GREAT example of someone who’s picked a range of schools, from reaches to fits to matches. Nicely done!

Kei

P.S. “CalGal” is ready for New England?

Northeastern University - reach; legacies will help
University of Delaware (top choice) - reach; great choice of schools!!!
Quinnipiac University - match/fit; nice choice
Salve Regina - match; I think it’s an odd place (but it’s biased info from the Newport surf scene), so check it out thoroughly if you decide to go there
University of Vermont - match; great choice!!!
UNH (already admitted) - YOU ARE GOING TO COLLEGE!!!
University of New England - don’t know enough about it
Endicott College - don’t know enough about it
James Madison University - reach/fit - another excellent choice

NE - reach
UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE - match - MY TOP CHOICE
Quinnipiac - match
Salve Regina - match
Vermont - match
UNH - in - Im applying
U of NE - ?
Endicott - ?
JMU - match

Hey I think with your pretty good SAT score and a decent GPA you should apply to a little better schools. Maybe consider University of Oregon and maybe even UWashington as a reach?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/828898-chance-me-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

sorry, i assumed you were from the west coast/california looking at your account name but my your college list i doubt that you are. but if you do happen to be from out here in the west coast mayb consider the above 2

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/828898-chance-me-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

Northeastern University - I think your legacy should get you in.
University of Delaware (top choice) - Slight Reach
Quinnipiac University - In
Salve Regina - In
University of Vermont - Slight Reach
UNH (already admitted)
University of New England - You’ll get in.
Endicott College - In

I think you should definitely take a second look at Endicott and Salve. I’ve heard that they’re both really hit or miss schools in how much you’ll enjoy them. I have friends transferring out of both. I think both schools misconvey themselves although they both are really beautiful schools.

Also Northeastern is a hit or miss. It seems as if everyone loves it or hates it. I think you should clarify if you are a city school kind of person and if you’d appreciate things like the train running through the campus and life living in Boston.

Thanks for posting in my thread. I haven’t been on in a while
