Yes I'm doing the chances thing

Just wondering if anyone could help me out…is Brandeis a good match for me?

Really quickly my stats are:

White female from new england, not jewish or religious at all really

basically all honors classes in high school, 3 AP my senior year–literature, spanish, macroeconomics

SAT I- M 680, CR 720, W 780 (total 2180)
SAT II- Math 2-650, Lit-640
Just took SAT II again, math 2, lit, and spanish w/ listening

HS GPA only about a 3.5 or 3.6

ECs: black belt in karate (7 years)
teaching karate (2 years)
community service club (3 years), secretary of club (1 year)
National Honor Society
Spanish National Honor Society
thats it

Your stats look like you're in the right ballpark for Brandeis but not high enough to be a "sure thing" --would depend on essay, interview, and whether they feel the school would be a good fit for you-also how interested they are in your karate credentials--most applicants have more ECs than you do and
New England does not add geographic diversity. ED II could improve your chances.

good SAT
Ok GPA
Not the best ECS (but the karate is a "kick")

I would say you have a chance, and agree that if you really like Brandeis apply ED II, it would vastly help your chances.

With those SAT scores, I'd say you've got a great chance of getting in.

thanks for the input people, i'll look into ED II

But do keep in mind that ED can decrease the likelihood of a good financial aid package-- since you have to commit before you can compare other offers.
