Oh, my dad didn't want me to take a job I was offered because it involved delivering pizza at NIGHT! GASP!

Meanwhile, when my dad was my age...all the jobs he had involved interacting with complete strangers even later at night. Like transferring people to and from the airport and...

It's such a small place though...I'm pretty sure it's only people from the suburb I live in that order from there. And we only have one murder every 50 years, and the last one was 5 years ago...I'm safe for the next 45 years.

I've jaywalked across six lanes of traffic before. Once you have the technique, it's not hard. It also gives a nice adrenaline rush. It's really easy to cross streets if there are sidewalks and crosswalk signs. It's a lot harder if there are no sidewalks, and you have to watch the stoplights. A lot of intersections are like that where I live, because it's a rural area, and every family has 3 or 4 cars, and nobody walks anywhere.

^ i had to jaywalk because one of the crosswalk signs wasn't working. i thought it was just taking a long time, but this chinese couple jaywalked so i tagged along. then i jaywalked BACK to the library alone, and you're right, it's not that hard..most cars would wait for you

My mom was the worst when I got my first girlfriend. (Some of her concern was more than justified ;)) She watched us like a hawk and hated when we even went to the movies alone gasp. I eventually became a pretty good liar, so I didn't have to worry. I'm 17 now and don't really have a curfew (I think).

She is now doing the same thing to my brother, but now she is smothering him worse than she did with me.

Grrr my parents let my brother drive anywhere anytime but won't even let me bike to work, which is only about 3 miles away...

It's annoying because I have so much more control on a bike than driving. I feel much safer, I don't ruin the environment, and I do some exercise.
