Hey guys,

Well, I am considering entering the YES competition. However, I am still trying to find a decent research project to conduct for it. So, if anyone could tell me if the topic I have thought of below is good enough to pursue, I'd really appreciate it.

-Looking at a correlation between # of hours spent in personal meditation or prayer and the systolic/diastolic blood pressurers of the individual

Thanks for the idea >_<

This doesn’t stem from much, but I have a pretty sure feeling your findings would be inconclusive. Also, think about all the variables that you would have to eliminate such as family history, etc.

Ya…I thought about all the variables that I would have to eliminate. However, other students that have won did things like a correlation between amount of fiber in diet and blood pressure. So, ya not quite sure how they eliminated all the variables, but apparently it can be done.

Also, how would you know people were really praying. I feel like going into divinity could also be controversial so even though it is interesting, it might not be the best idea for a competitive scholarship.
