<p>Now that i have been deferred from princeton ED, i guess Cornell is now my #1 "viable" choice
just wanted to see what you guys think of my chances, things i should improve or highlight in my application, tips whatever
I am applying to CALS for a biology major

SAT: 2400 (one sitting)
SAT IIs: 800 Biology-M, 800 Math 2, 750 U.S. History
GPA: W: 101.277 (4% weighting for APs and Honors), ~98.6 unweighted</p>

<p>APs:
Biology 5
US History 5
English Language 5
Physics B 5 (I took this online because it would not fit into my schedule. I was the first to take a course online in my school and I had to fight for it, so I hope it shows intellectual curiosity)</p>

<p>This Year:
English Literature
European History
Calculus AB ( studying BC material on my own)
Chemistry
French (independent study)
I have taken all the APs and Honors offered and more independent study (except Art)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Two extracurricular summer courses
Sought out research internship ~50 hours
Orthopedic Internship ~50 hours</p>

Barn work ~4 hours week for 4 years</p>

10th at Delaware National Invitational (2002)</p>

<p>I also have a horse and ride ~10 hours week (barn work pays for horse) and am involved in horse related activities</p>

<p>I skipped 7th grade if that is a hook and my school is rural (Regional Diversity?)</p>

<p>I would be incredibly surprised if you were not accepted. I'd say your chances are more than great.</p>

<p>I see you're captain of your Science Olympiad team. Do you go to the Charter School of Wilmington? My team (Penncrest High School) placed 5th at Nationals last year. Are you still involved (the last standings you posted for Olympiad were in 2004)?</p>

<p>no, the major science olympiad awards i won were from when i was in MS, i went/go to T.C Armstrong or Wayne Central (they called us either at competitions)</p>
