Yet Another Junior =P

So, Im looking on google for the AP bio Scale and some tips for Ap Macroeconomics and fate would have me stumble onto this goldmine of a site :).

Well, I'll get right to it. I am a Korean student who came to the US at the age of seven.

Obviously, my family and I are in the dark when it comes to colleges in the US, and I am frankly having a bit of trouble finding out where i fit into academically as my junior year is about to end. I have good grades in comparison to most of the people at my school, but I i know that my school(public) is not one of the most competitive schools in the area and dont know quite where I stack up.

GPA:
UW:3.9 W(4.4)

Here are my scores for various exams so far
SAT: (took it twice so far)

1st time
Reading: 700
Writing: 730
Math: 740
2170/2400

2nd time
Reading: 700
Writing:680
Math: 760
2140/2400

SATII:
Korean:780
Taking UShist and Biology in June
AP Bio/US history: TBA, but I think I got a 4/5 on both
AP Microeconomics: self study--4
AP Macroeconomics: TBA

Activities:
-School soccer 2 yrs(dont think this will help; our team sucks lol)
-Leadership(student council) 3 yrs so far, Rep, Tresx2
-Communityhours due to leadership 30per semester...so 180 by end of this year
-Work at my dad's restaurant
-Student Advisory Board 2 yrs for School district
-Link Crew(help for incoming freshmen)
-Conflict Manager

Additional Q's
-Should I retake the SATs? If I studied my ass off I think I could get around 80 more pts, but is that worth the time?
-Are there any drawbacks/advantages to being a foreign student?

Thx for any feedback ahead of time

Could you tell us more about what you want in a college? Small or large? Urban or rural? Liberal arts or science/math university? What part of the country?

The Princeton Review's Counselor-o-matic can help you figure out your priorities and give you a rough list of colleges to look at, though their reach/match/safety definitions are shady at best. Your school guidance counselor might be able to help you figure out where these schools fit on the list.

If you are a citizen of the US, being foreign-born doesn't affect admissions too much, but if you're not, I think it can change financial aid sometimes.

you're on a good track, i'd say you're good to go for UC's, although i do hear ucla rejected a lot of overqualifed people...o.O.

yeah, agree with etselec, tell us what you want to do in college, major wise, how important is social life/student life to you, etc...i'll give you another answer back.

w00t w00t for being korean!
