I have said that i was going to self study some AP's since last May. However, the reality of it just hit me when I recieved my textbooks for AP us gov't, and AP Statistics in the mail today. I was like: "Wow, I'm actually going to do this thing". So basically, there's no turning back (unless i was to waste money..not an option) so now, the only way to go is foward. Also, I encourage everyone else who is self studying this year (especially those doing it for the first time). Good luck!

Just got some psych study books from friend, and buying european history texts soon. First time self studying as well. Should be interesting! Good Luck!

i have a test tmrw on stats, but i have it as a class. the teacher is like 23 and shes incredibly nice, its just that she makes alot of mistakes and can't really teach. so shes more of a "study guide/keep you organized type"

w00t

I'm self-studying for Euro History and Psych.

I'm self studying Human Geo, Psych, and Comp Gov, maybe Bio and Env Sci also.

In all seriousness I'm selfstudying Calc BC this year

Self Studying Eng lang, enviorn. science, human geo, psych, comp gov, and hopefully stats but im iffy on that.

Stats is fun. I really like the class so far.

The Test- was ok hopefully shes lenient on the constructed responses :p

Do colleges like it more if you self-study for AP tests in subjects your school does not offer?

^They usually don't care about AP scores that much in general. It would demonstrate willingness to take on challenges and such, but if its going to detract you from, say, maintaining a good GPA/good ECs, those still weigh in much more than APs.

Thanks. Good luck to everyone else taking one.

I'm taking physics b

I know how you feel! Just get through this.
I'm self studying for Bio, Chem, Calculus, and Comp Sci!
And it's pretty overwhelming so far. I'm in the same situation as you, and I definitly don't want to waste 200+ dollars either.

Good luck to all of you!!!!
