"You are 'STILL' being considered..."

The words UCI are like a red button for violence for you haha. But yeah I haven’t really seen anyone wearing UCI hoodies recently, though lots of people from my school did get in, as if they’re ashamed to wear them? or didn’t buy them yet? I don’t know.

@Andrew: I think we’re the “Echo Boomers”. I know, it sounds weird. I think I’m generation Y.

@ rainsonata rejected from ucsb :(

LOL yess UCI is my trigger word now :p

well at my school after getting rejected from UCLA and UCSD people have settled on going to UCI so it’s pretty popular now… but I remember at the beginning of school all I saw was UCLA, UCSD, USC, Stanford, UCB xD

lol I forgot to mention UCSD and Stanford. I think it’s just funny since come senior year alot of them will realize dang, I can’t get into ___ school hoodie I’m wearing.

LOL that is sooo true :smiley: that is why I don’t have any college hoodies teheheee

@Andrew: Sorry to hear that :(. What was your stats? I think I saw them earlier on a different page, and they seemed okay to me. I thought SB was easier to get into than SD. I guess the UCs are playing hard to get this year :/

Hey does anyone know if ucm is known for? if they are a good school? Who else will be applying going with me?

@ainstuff: I assumed the people with college hoodies got them from friends or family, since I don’t have one myself from the lack of older siblings to lend them to me.

They’re just new. They don’t have much of a track record yet.

well UCM is a bit too new to be “known” for something… I’m not hating on UCM and the only reason why people diss it is because their admissions is fairly easy because they need people to go there :</p>

@Andrew: Wait…UCM? You’re kidding, right? UCM has just opened for the last 5 years and isn’t known for anything. They have a pre-med program, but the problem is, they don’t have a name for themselves yet. Don’t go there unless you want to be that class that helps build up UCM’s rep. Don’t you have UCR as backup? Almost everyone got in for UCR. I don’t know, in my head, UCR > UCM. Sorry. I didn’t find UCM worth my money. It’s too far and too young.

GOOD, Ill be the famous alumni there teeeeheeee.

@rainsonata: omg that reminds me of the time when my sister asked me if I wanted any UCSD stuff like a hoodie… Good thing I said no T_T (she’s graduating from UCSD this year)

Andrew, you’re starting to scare me now. These rejections aren’t having any possibly psychological effects of learned helplessness on you, are they? O_O;

LOL Andrew, I thought of that too… I mean if I go to UCM and become FAMOUS I will definitely be in their hall of fame or something ;)

Sadly i did not apply to safe schools because i was told i had great stats, ecs , and work experience.

If the choice is between riverside and merced, I would choose riverside 100 out of 100 times.

Schools take a long time to build themselves up. Over time, they add services, establish relationships within the community, and develop an endowment. Yeah, riverside gets a lot of hate, but it has been around for a while and thus offers a lot more support for students than Merced.

UCI “was” my safe school -___- *facepalm besides csufullerton which at least accepted me in October :P

same here hotsuff :)
