my friends who are in elc got in already… Thats the only people i know who got in at this point

I think bragging is generic. Let’s hope that none of us become like that when we have kids going to high school and are applying for schools like us…

Really Vietnamese people? It always seems like CHINESE PEOPLE like to brag about this kind of stuff…I mean at the end of the day…who cares what school your kid is going to as long as they graduate and get a job, it doesn’t really matter…

Hey, WHEN we all get accepted to UCI we should meet up and make our own little secret club tehehehe! ;D

thanks guys, making me regret going to merced now :(

lol Well I’m viet and I live near little Saigon soo ehehehe and I am from Vietnam so… XD

Andrew, UCI never said you were rejected yet. Besides we’re all in the same boat of being accepted/rejected/waitlisted so…;]

saigon as a pho place?

Hey, hey. Everyone. Especially Andrew, because he still thinks he’s going to be the star alumni for UCM. Don’t cry until March 31 or after being rejected. Which ever comes first. If we all do get in and accept it, it would be nice to share a class or two and maybe even meet up. But let’s just focus on overcoming each day while waiting impatiently for UCI to make up their minds already and send in our stuff.

haha it’s true, my mom, aunt, and uncle have been telling me all my life to become a doctor or lawyer XD and then buying them all a house =___=

Yes. Asian parents brag so much about how their children’s accomplishments. I hate being compared to my mom’s friend’s daughters. >.<

Eh, Little Saigon is practically where all the Vietnamese Americans live in SoCal. Not kidding. If not there, than Garden Grove. Yeah, we Viets do brag a lot. But I heard the same for Chinese. Maybe it’s just Asians in general. Who knows.

And the comparing game! How much I hate that game where your parents talk bad about you and compare you to your cousin/brother/sister/neighbor/girl who sits behind you who you never noticed the whole year in APUSH/teacher’s daughter twice removed and adopted.

@ Andrew69 I’m pretty sure if you’re UC eligible and you don’t get into ANY of the UC’s that you applied for, you will be offered admission to UCR and UCM even if you didn’t apply there.

Well that’s how it was two years ago.

@ drangon yeah I agree exactly! People go to college to get a job… but after 4 years at some college you could be jobless/struggle to find a job and get angry when you see someone who skipped college and already has a career. A college degree is just a safety net…

there are a lot of people who drop out of college or don’t even go to college and have a good career (to those still in high school/not hs seniors and are reading this: Don’t think I’m promoting skipping college but college just isn’t for everyone… and it’s not the end of the world if we don’t get into our dream college…)

If we get into uci, we meet at panda express? :D

@Monkey. Buying them all a house puts alot of pressure + isn’t that kind of selfish to expect your kid to buy you a gigantic house…

@Rain I think it’d be great to have a meetup sometime if we somehow get into UCI. Let’s eat something

what happened to milk tea…

I dont know the area in Irvine… But panda express is everywhere aahaha

It always feels like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is so near…UCI is now my pot of gold. If only the Leprechaun would give me UCI already >.<

@drangon23 I don’t think they’re serious about me buying them all houses XD I’ll just buy them something nice if i do make bank. Def not a house o.o

We can eat on campus at UCI. I don’t what there is to eat there though
