You get to spend one year in any country of your choosing. Where would you pick?

Okay, imagine you're 25, and you get to live and work in a foreign place for a year- you need to act according to this place's culture, try to learn the language (if applicable) spoke there, etc, etc. Where do you pick? Be as specific as you like.

Alaska. :D

If there was some sort of guarantee that I would be 100% safe…
Saudi Arabia

Probably Germany. I’d also like to go to Israel, but just for a short visit.

Germany, Spain or the US :)

@sweetcupcake12 are you a girl? If so, the issue isn’t just safety. You wouldn’t even be allowed to drive there or leave the house without a male guardian.

It almost goes without saying that if Middle Earth was an option I would pick it.

Paris…

^^New Zealand then, right?

I think probably Switzerland… working for CERN.

New Zealand’s actually the most likely to happen for me. It’s so easy to get work visas, and work. I think I have some distant family there as well that could house me for a while.

Germany or Jamaica

Most likely Japan, or maybe even South Korea. I can actually read Korean writing, but I know more Japanese :P

Israel <3 or France

Somewhere I already speak there language. But that seems so boring. Maybe china. :)

New Zealand, without a doubt

@evanatch

Have no idea. But if I had a chance, Apple campus. no doubt about it.

I would go to Antarctica where there are cute emperor penguins!!!..I’m kidding. I’d probably wouldn’t even be able to go there, and Antarctica is not a country.

Realistically, I would go to Australia, Canada, or China.

Australia:
I would go to Australia since I’m a big Psittaciformes (order of parrots and parakeets) lover. Australia had the largest variety of parrots, including one of my favorite kinds of birds, the wild budgies! I also love all kinds of animals that live in Australia. On the plus side, I would love to see the scenery in Australia and go surfing there as well as meeting the unique animals.

Canada:
I’ve been to Canada many times as vacations to various locations in Canada. I’m so used to Canada and Tim Hortons’ there. Some of my father’s classmates live in Canada. I love all the scenery in Canada from the lovely red sands of the beaches of Prince Edward Island to the majestic Niagara Falls of Ontario. I would love to paint all the beautiful scenery there.

China:
China was my mother’s homeland before she and my father moved to the United States. It would be interesting to go there and see what it’s like there. I may blend in since I speak Chinese (Yes, I am Asian.) Some of the things I don’t like about China are the pollution and the website blocking.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or somewhere else in the golf region.

I’d probably choose Lebanon or Turkey given that I don’t get robbed or shot, because these places have such rich history

Australia or the UK. I’d have to go somewhere where they speak English and I think Canada is too much like the US.

Israel.
Or Texas.
