I thought about writing a fabriacted essay but whenever i started i never really felt anything. I was thinking about writing an essay about an actual traumatic car accident i was in, and i feel that because of that i have grown and matured immensely as a person. Do you guys think its too cliche? Applying to : Cornell, Penn, Princeton, Stanford, UT

Really, most topics are cliche these days. Worry more about how you write the essay, not so much the topic the essay is on itself. A long as you write good, creative stuff, don't get scared about what your topic is on.

What matters is what you're able to convey. Any topic is ok, depends on your spin on it ;)
