You know you sent it, but what happened to it?

So I am sure I am not the only one this is happened to but has anyone else sent something and the college not receive it? If so, how many things have been lost?

For me:
Southern Methodist University:
High School Transcript (had to go back to high school to get another. talk about awkward.)
College Transcript (no biggie)

Boston University:
Transfer Status Report (supposedly sent 3/29 by Dean, have to fax it tomorrow)

USC lost my transcripts..that were in the big package I sent EVERYTHING in...
Miami never got two sets of transcripts..

delivery confirmation - 50 cents
getting your application completed in March - priceless

One school lost one of my recommendations, my college transcript, my high school transcript, and my courses in progress, had to send it all again. Total pain in the butt.

San Jose State - ELECTRONIC transcript. I have no idea how that happened. How do you lose a transcript in electronic transmission from one school to another? Luckily I kept my transcript receipt and was able to get it re-sent for free.

Yeah, you would think that delivery confirmation would ease your worries, but think again. I sent everything in one big envelope to USC, self-addressed postcard included, and delivery confirmed. I received the delivery confirmation AND the USC postcard with the official stamp in the mail, but when I called later, they had nothing. Tell me, how the hell does that happen?!

same thing for me!!!!!

I've had two recs sent to Northwestern, including a second copy of the first one after it didn't appear on their website for two months. So far, none of them have shown up on their applicant services page.

If anyone else is applying, how long did it take for your recs to be processed? It says 7-10 days + mail time, but I'm starting to worry and I don't want to keep bothering the admissions office.
